We are honored to offer a coaching supervision training program provided by internationally recognized leader among academic centers for coaching and mentoring, Oxford Brookes University International Centre for Coaching and Leadership Development.
Coaching supervision, as growing practice worldwide, serves at least three purposes, it:
- Facilitates growth and development of a coach in reflective and consistent ways
- Benefits a coachee and organization by maximizing potential of the coaching investment
- Uniquely contributes to coaching as a profession
ICF defines "Coaching Supervision is the interaction that occurs when a coach periodically brings his or her coaching work experiences to a coaching supervisor in order to engage in reflective dialogue and collaborative learning for the development and benefit of the coach and his or her clients." Whereas the definition continues to be shaped, the growing global attention to supervision is obvious. Recent, Feb 17 2014, special update from Global ICF says “It is important to note that as the ICF continues work to enhance the credentialing program, standards for renewal of the Credentials may change. These changes could include additional hours of training in specific areas (ethics), new assessments or requirement for supervision.
The aim of the training program is to provide coaches with an opportunity to extend their competences and skills into to the area of coaching supervision.
The full programme consists of five stages (three of which are optional):
1. Preparation (designated reading and peer-coaching)
2. Intensive 4 day course
3. Optional supervision on coaching supervision in preparation for assessment
